Sao Tome and Principe are two wonderful islands located in Gulf of Guinea - west Africa, around 300 km from african coast. The total land territory is 1001 km2, being 859 km2 from Sao Tome and 142 km2 from Principe island, and the marine territory is around 180.000 km2. The total population is 192,993 inhabitants (2013 census).
The two main islands form part of a chain of extinct volcanoes and both are mountainous with exotic fauna and flora, many fancy beaches with clean, clear and warm water.
In terms of distance, the island of Sao Tome is located 140 km far from the island of Principe, and the nearest countries are Gabon (at East, about 220 km), Nigeria (at North, about 300 km) and at northeast are located the Cameroon and the Equatorial Guinea (about 250 km).
These two small oceanic volcanic and mountainous islands of the Gulf of Guinea are geologically around 31 million years, and accommodate huge diversity of habitats of great importance and dense African rain forest.
It´s undoubtedly a paradise to be discovered, with its magic and respectful flora and fauna.
