TREK TO PEAK OF SAO TOME

This trek requires a very good physical conditions and includes two days expedition to the top of Sao Tomé (2.024m) which will give you an overview of the island. We go by car until Bom Sucesso, where the walk starts. There will be stops for snakes, resting and observations.

-Day 1: Bom Sucesso – Monte Pico (7 hours walk) - Departure from Bom Successo to the base of the peak. You´ll enjoy the primary forest and enumerous amazing aspect of surrounding fauna and flora. And then dinner cooking by the guide and camping at the base of the peak

-Day 2: Monte Pico – Manuel Morais (6 to 7 hours walk) - Climbing Pico de Sao Tome at early morning (45 minutes) before breakfast. There you´ll have the spectacular view of the island, at the highest point of Sao Tome. After the breakfast at the camping site, we will descend to Manuel Morais at the north part of the island (6 hours walk), where the car will be waiting for us.
